What to expect, and how to prepare.
Everything you could possibly want to know about your PRP experience at The Aesthetic Haus.
PRP brightens and tightens the skin through collagen and elastin stimulation.
By stimulating collagen production in existing acne scars, PRP can reduce skin depressions.
Microneedling with platelet-rich plasma creates tiny openings in the skin to promote collagen production, remedying hyperpigmentation and sun spots.
If you're ready to schedule your first PRP appointment with us, here's what you can expect
The Prep: Before your appointment, avoid blood thinning medications (with a doctor’s consent). Avoid alcohol 1-2 days before your treatment, and focus on staying hydrated and getting good sleep.
The Process: When you arrive for your PRP facial, Hannah will discuss the process with you and make sure that your skin is fully hydrated, and prepped for the procedure. From there, your face will be numbed, and protein-rich plasma will be spread on your face. From there, Hannah will use a micro-needling device to stimulate collagen growth, and infuse the plasma into your skin.
The Recovery and Results: Results can take a little while to show up, especially after your very first facial. Most people tend to notice a generalized tightening of the skin within a few days, a glow and fullness to the entire face, and just an overall healthier look.
PRP treatments cause an initial tightening and glow of the face, which can last for several months - which is why many people choose to have PRP facials several times a year for anti-aging.
If you're hoping for a permanent change to intervals to deal with scarring, skin damage, and problem areas , it’s best to have about 4-6 treatments at two-week intervals.
